Your rug is handmade, knot by knot. That's why it might have small variations in colors, patterns and size (1 to 4 inches). This is what makes each of Baboosh rugs unique!

Please note that the wool is dyed with natural ingredients. This is what makes the colors vary, especially dark colors like black. Very often, black wool has brown and dark gray variations.

This is a custom made rug. We will start making your rug once you place your order.

Installment payment available. Please contact us via our website chat, on our social media pages (Instagram or Facebook) or by email at baboosh@baboosh.ca

A bit of history:

Used by Le Corbusier in his Villa La Roche in Paris, by Alvar Aalto in his house in Finland, described as ‘the huge lines’ by Matisse and photographed by Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fallingwater in Pennsylvania, the Beni Ourain rugs are undoubtedly the most famous Moroccan rugs of all times. They usually have geometric pattern and a cream / ivory background with a dense pile. These rugs have been handmade by women of the Beni Ourain tribes in the Middle Atlas Mountains for centuries. Their contemporary version is called in Morocco Mrirt or Beni Mrirt because, today, they are made in the city of Mrirt.
